At Solid Online , we are constantly on the move. Not only for our clients, but also within our own team. Therefore we are happy to welcome a new colleague: Tim Deelstra, our new Junior Platform Engineer!

With a background in Computer Science at the University of Amsterdam and a specialization in AI and Social Robotics, Tim brings not only technical knowledge, but also a fresh perspective on how technology can really support people. His graduation research revolved around a care robot that helps children with math in a personal way - for example, by incorporating their favorite animals into the tasks. Using smart data analysis and machine learning, Tim looked at the effectiveness of this approach. Technology with a human face, in other words - exactly what Solid also stands for.

From computing robot to cloud platform
Tim is now fully immersed in the world of Azure. He supports us in maintaining and further exploiting the Azure platform, which not only offers our customers security and quality, but also offers plenty of opportunities to make our own processes smarter. The first meeting with his Indian colleagues has already taken place. For Tim, this is the starting point of an intensive collaboration that he is looking forward to. Within Solid we have been working closely with our colleagues in India for many years, and for Tim this is a great opportunity to join an international team.

We are pleased to introduce Lukas Klaiber as our new Junior Consultant at Solid Online. Lukas, a self-proclaimed Social Media Geek, lives in Germany and, especially for someone of 20, has an impressive background in digital media and technology. In 2020, while still in school, he started streaming video games on Twitch and amassed a whopping 20,000 followers there within two years.

At the age of 18, he started his own Social Media Marketing Agency and led a team of seven employees. Together, they helped content creators gain more visibility and followers on social media. During this time, Lukas gained valuable knowledge about entrepreneurship, as well as APIs and system integrations. He automated and connected processes on the backend of his social media marketing agency. For example, clients' social media channels were linked to the calendar, making it visible when a video was successfully published. He also gained experience with WordPress, website management, video projects and graphic design during an internship.

A true tech enthusiast, Lukas has always had a passion for computers and tech. Lukas enjoys experimenting with technology and learning more about hardware every day. He repairs his own equipment and delves into the latest technological developments, such as PC-related stuff, or VR and XR.

Solid Online is making a significant move in its international growth by expanding into France. To best serve this market, we are delighted to welcome Thomas Luquet as our new General Director France. With his extensive experience in HR tech and software development, he is the ideal person to lead our operations in France.

Thomas has an impressive track record in the technology and staffing sector. As the founder of LINKAVIE, known for the SaaS solution TIMEKO, he has developed innovative software solutions that enhance business productivity, particularly in the flexible workforce industry. Additionally, he has advised various startups and other companies. His background also includes strategic positions at international companies in cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and software development.

We are excited to introduce Janine Nieboer as our new Customer Value Consultant. Janine brings a wealth of experience and expertise within recruitment software and will now join Solid to further strengthen the connection between our customers and our software.

Janine studied International Business and Management and built a background in the software industry and customer success management. Her career is characterized by a clear thread: translating technical value into concrete customer benefits. She did this in personal customer conversations but also by giving webinars and presentations.

We are proud to welcome Mandy van Dijk as the newest addition to the Solid team! As Financial Advisor she brings not only her knowledge, but also an enormous drive. We are extremely happy that she is now part of our team.

Mandy is in the final stages of her Chartered Accountant training-the very last flight hours before she can officially hold this prestigious title. This is an incredible accomplishment, especially for someone as young as Mandy!

She combined study and practice in her dual studies and now has 10 years of experience in accountancy. In addition to her part-time position at an accounting firm, she now also works at Solid Online, where she uses her expertise one day a week. She obtained her Bachelor at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and followed this up with a Post-Master and a Master in Accountancy at Nyenrode Business University.

Bob Zwetsloot is joining our team as a Junior Consultant! Bob will play an important role in supporting project implementations. He is a mathematics prodigy with impressive achievements, including winning a bronze medal at the International Mathematics Olympiad in Thailand.

Bob studied Mathematics at Leiden University and for his thesis conducted research on estimating the number of lattice points in a geometric shape without counting and with minimal measurements. This research combined, among other things, his passion for geometry and algorithm complexity.

This week started our new consultant Iljitsj!

Iljitsj loves efficiency and is always looking for how things can be made simpler and more insightful. For example, he once used Excel to figure out the underlying logic of the SIMS game so he could play his best game himself. Iljitsj previously worked as a trainer-coach at a telecom company and there he found that behind the scenes not enough was being done with data knowledge. And so he created dashboards in Power BI, which provided insight into the progress of employees within their training, quickly showing where extra attention was needed.
