At Solid Online , we are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing and securing our Azure environment, while supporting us in the transition to microservices. Solid Online is a dynamic and internationally oriented scale-up with its own innovative SAAS platform. We have an office in Hoofddorp and one in Chennai, India. Solid Online specializes in the link of various software systems including recruitment, financial, timekeeping and scheduling systems. Technological development is rapid; as a result, recruitment software developers have begun to specialize in providing solutions for a small piece of the staffing process. This means that staffing and secondment agencies are increasingly different software packages together combine. The consequence for recruiters: more administrative work such as retyping information from one system to another. This costs a lot of time, increases the chance of mistakes and reduces job satisfaction. Solid Online solves this.We have two large SaaS products, whose infrastructure is hosted in Azure. Our setup uses various Azure components, creating a dynamic environment for learning and growth. We follow the principles from the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework. The structure and layout of our cloud is formed by the custom-built Azure Landing Zone. We are step by step innovating our software, increasingly using solutions higher in the cloud computing stack

- Learn and understand our current Azure setup, which is primarily VM-based, as we transition to microservices.
- Proactively maintain and secure our Azure infrastructure.
- Implement security measures and assist in achieving ISO 27001 compliance as part of the security team.
- Work with development teams to ensure the infrastructure fits business and security needs, and support the transition to a microservices architecture.
- Extend and maintain Azure pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient CI/CD processes.
- Manage Microsoft Teams and become an in-demand resource for Office 365 tools within the company.
- Work with system administrators in India managing day-to-day tasks while taking responsibility for infrastructure management and strategic projects.
- Lead projects focused on optimization, security and compliance.
- Continuously develop yourself by staying up-to-date with the latest developments in Azure and cloud technologies.
- MBO or HBO working and thinking level
- Knowledge of the English language
- Basic knowledge of Azure (familiarity with Azure components is a plus)
- Understanding of SQL cloud databases, IIS, RBAC (Entra), and API management
- Familiarity with legacy technologies such as SFTP, as well as modern tools such as VPN and API management
- Experience or interest in Azure DevOps and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Office 365 tools with the ability to support colleagues
- Interest in cloud infrastructure, security compliance and transition to microservices
- Basic knowledge or interest in security standards such as ISO 27001
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with development teams and system administrators in different regions (India and Netherlands)
