Hammer Techniek & Detachering (Technic & Staffing) has opted for a Solid Online Connector interface between OTYS and Easyflex. Not only data of Candidates, Clients/Contacts and Placements now flow automatically from OTYS to Easyflex, but Hours data as well. This functionality is newly developed and deployed at Hammer for the first time!

OTYS Go! is cloud-based recruitment software. Thanks to its modular construction and many implementation possibilities the Recruiting Technology platform is a very attractive option. 

Hammer Techniek & Detachering specializes in staffing in the Construction and Engineering industry. They use OTYS as their ATS system (Applicant Tracking System) and Easyflex as their back office. Solid Online realized a Connector interface between the two systems. The related topics are Candidates, Clients/Contacts, Placements and Hours. Data entered in OTYS is automatically transferred to Easyflex. This eliminates the need for Hammer employees to transcribe and correct data. It is now just a matter of checking and adjusting where necessary. This saves the staffing agency a lot of time, because all data is now always synchronized and up-to-date in both systems. The transfer mechanism of hours data has been newly developed by Solid. Hammer is the first customer to use this functionality. From now on other companies that use OTYS and Easyflex can also choose to transfer the hours data, such as worked hours, vacation hours or sick hours from OTYS to Easyflex through the Connector.

Larissa Boerenstam: new intern content & communication

We have a new intern on board. Larissa Boerenstam is doing a 6-month internship at Solid Online. She is studying Creative Business at the HvA and this internship is part of the conclusion of her studies. Larissa is working in Solid Online’s content & communication team, where she supports with news releases, the website, social media and corporate videos, among other things.

During her studies, Larissa has already gained a lot of practical experience. During the Concept & Creation semester, she designed and developed the teaching method UP for VMBO with a group of fellow students. This teaching method helped students improve their mental health through all kinds of assignments, offered through various media. Through a website, Facebook and LinkedIn Up created brand awareness. With assignments from their self-made workbook they taught youngsters how to live healthier and talk about their feelings. To support the workbook, healthy recipes and dance challenges were shown via Tik Tok in order to increase interaction with the target group. The teaching method was tested at a number of VMBO schools and was received very enthusiastically by the pupils.   

For her Minor, Larissa did Applied Game design. With a group of students, they achieved a 10 for programming and designing a game about the Harry Potter character Dobby. The game was a visual novel of Dobby’s life, which the player could influence through choices made in the game. The target audience were children aged between 8 and 12, and the aim of the game was to make them experience that certain choices can have good or bad consequences and what you can learn from these.

“I see possibilities”

Besides her internship and studies, Larissa also plays football. She does so both on the field, at Wartburgia Amsterdam, and in the hall, at ZVV Den Haag. That sounds like a very busy schedule, but Larissa says that although it is hard work, there is never a day when she does not feel like it. Playing football gives her energy and it motivates her to keep performing. In the field, she plays right or left wing and in the hall on the sides, attacking. She is quick and versatile, which makes her a perfect fit for this position.  

Larissa has been working at Solid for almost two weeks now. When we ask her about her first impression, she tells us that Solid is “pleasantly busy, with a nice work structure and lots to do”. According to Larissa, this internship fits perfectly with her Media & Marketing specialisation. At Solid, she would like to investigate what new social media platforms could be complementary to propagate Solid Online’s corporate identity. But she would also like to see how to get more out of the platforms Solid is already using. Her drive and fresh perspective are an asset to the Content & Communication team. We are therefore very happy to have Larissa as an intern within our company!

How does it work

The Connector receives or retrieves the data from your ATS. Thanks to the mapping module, Solid Online facilitates customer requirements per data field. The translation is then made to the HelloFlex format. The transformed message is delivered in HelloFlex and any functional feedback and technical errors are presented in your ATS or by email. Even if the integration is successful, this can be shown in the source system. In addition, data enriched in Helloflex can be sent back to the ATS, or exchanged with planning software or a financial package.

Secondment organisation Be IT switches to Bullhorn with Data Migration by Solid Online

Be IT is a secondment organisation for motivated, talented Azure and Microsoft 365 professionals. Recently, Be IT switched to Bullhorn as its recruitment system. Solid Online handled the data migration from the old ATS package to Bullhorn. Solid Online offers 3 options for delivering the data to be migrated. Be IT chose the API option. With this  Solid Online retrieves the data directly through the API. The project only required a a short preparation period. The migration itself went very smoothly and Be IT had a seemless transition to  working with Bullhorn. All the data that was migrated from the old ATS was where is should be in Bullhorn and operations could continue without disruption.

It is with great pleasure that Solid Online welcomes Robbert van Helten fully back on board! Robbert has been working for Solid as a legal advisor for years and has also supported us as a sales manager in the past. As Commercial Director, he will once again be focusing on sales.

During his career, Robbert has gained substantial experience in both areas. After his training as legal counsel, he practiced this profession for the first 9 years of his career. First employed by a company, but then soon after, he started his own business. As legal counsel, he gained experience as a user of legal software and had formed a close relationship with the supplier. When this supplier was hiring staff to sell their software, they immediately thought of Robbert, who  by now had thorough knowledge of the product. And so Robbert started giving sales demos within Legal Tech. He has now accumulated 13 years of sales experience within IT.

Robbert likes the mix of legal and commercial. In his daily work, he notices that his legal background helps him in his sales activities, for example always putting agreements on paper. And in legal matters, thanks to his sales experience, he has a more practical and customer-oriented approach, so that he focuses primarily on what is possible, instead of what is not.

For B&P Professionals, Solid Online realized a Connector interface between Carerix and Easyflex for the topics Candidates and Documents. The connection works both ways. The candidate and the accompanying documents, such as the id-certificate, are transferred to Easyflex at the moment this is indicated in Carerix. Then the administration continues in Easyflex. For candidates who have received the status “Active” in Easyflex, the contract data is shot back from Easyflex to Carerix. Thanks to the Solid Online Connector, B&P Professionals do not have to enter assignments into Easyflex manually. Thus, placement data is never again forgotten or entered too late. On top of that, transfer errors are a thing of the past and contract details are always correct in both packages.

Our new Project manager Sangeeta is surprised by the human side of IT

At the beginning of this month, Sangeeta started working at Solid Online as a project manager. We now have two sisters in the house, as Sarissa, her sister, has been working with us for a while as a consultant.

Sangeeta is, just like Sarissa and many of our colleagues, very sporty. Besides her work at Solid, she is also a gym instructor! You can find her in front of the class 4 hours a week teaching bodypump and bodycombat.

Previously she was a manager at a gym, a startup she co-founded. She studied Management, Economics and Law. From her management experience, she knows what it is like to manage people. Sangeeta likes to work on a project in a very structured way, with a clear beginning and end goal.

Sangeeta enjoys working with people the most and therefore she always thought that the IT world was not for her. Until her sister told her more about her work in IT and showed her the human side. That there is a lot of contact with customers and that you are busy making things better for the users of the software. That is when Sangeeta’s interest in IT was aroused.

And now she has started at Solid. With an open and eager to learn attitude, she gets to know the company. Since she is new in the IT industry, it starts with getting used to the technical terms. Her sister Sarissa, but also the other colleagues, take her along in their work. Sangeeta often watches and listens during kick-offs with new customers, but also, for example, when testing the software. She asks a lot of questions and gets to know the different aspects within the company.

4people accelerates secondment process with Connector and Data Migration to Bullhorn

Data Migration to Bullhorn Before the Connector interface was realised, Solid Online first took care of the Data Migration for 4people, transferring all the data from the old ATS system to Bullhorn. 4people chose our Weekend option, whereby the data migration was done during the weekend. The week before the data migration, 4people was still working in their old ATS system, and after the weekend, they could immediately start working in Bullhorn, where all the data from their old system was neatly arranged. In a Weekend Migration, data that is used less frequently is transferred the week after. This way, the migration can be carried out quickly and no data is overwritten.

Two Connector interfaces
4people was the first company for whom Simplicate was added to the Connector! Now that Simplicate is part of the Connector eco-system, other companies can also easily make use of this interface. The link between Bullhorn and Simplicate allows candidate, customer, placement and contact data to flow from Bullhorn to Simplicate. With the second Connector interface for 4people, candidate and placement data flows from Bullhorn to NMBRS. This way, 4people has all the most recent data at hand for the payment of the candidate. In case something changes in the candidate data, like for instance the phone number, this only needs to be adjusted in Bullhorn. This change will then automatically be implemented in NMBRS and Simplicate via the Connector.
