Solid Online has a new consultant: Sarissa van der Meer! Sarissa brings her experience as an IT consultant from her previous job. She also plays football, just like some of our colleagues. Sarissa plays at a high amateur level, in the Women’s first team of Ter Leede Sassenheim. Solid Online is their new sponsor and that’s how we came into contact with Sarissa.

After studying Marketing and Commercial Economics at the HvA, she worked with various software packages at successive employers and her interest was aroused. She made the switch from marketing to IT.

She started working as a consultant at a software company where she enjoyed the contact with the customers. She learned that it is good to keep listening to your customers and to transfer information in small pieces. Too much information at the same time is difficult for customers to process and this does not benefit the progress of the project. In addition, she has experienced that it is important to properly map and monitor the wishes and expectations of the customer. Being honest about what can be expected is important for a good customer relationship.

Working at Solid fits in with her ambitions. Sarissa likes to work in a company that is growing rapidly and to contribute to the growth to come. The products also appeal to her and are unique according to her. Sarissa indicates that she never looks too far ahead and likes to take her career step by step. She always wants to be good at what she does and loves to help her customers with her expertise.

Charlie works is a European employment agency with a strong sense of team spirit. They help their clients by finding extra labor capacity and by suggesting improvements. In order to keep meeting the demand of their customers, Charlie works has switched to Mysolution at the beginning of this year. Solid Online has implemented an Hours Transformer application for Charlie works for the time processing. For a group of 25 Charlie works hirers this is now a completely automated process. First time right without any user interference. The hours realized from the Transformer flow directly into the payroll and invoicing engine of Mysolution.

At the base, the Solid Online Hours Transformer imports the required data from customers, candidates, and placements from Mysolution. On the other hand, the hirers send various hours and declaration file formats.

Then, the hours are grouped, checked, and enriched with the necessary Mysolution information in the Transformer. When the hours have gone through the entire workflow, the Transformer creates the required SETU timecard for Mysolution.

During the project, the consultants have translated the business requirements into the one-time set-up. Complex unraveling is also applied, such as converting clock times and applying the correct collective labor agreement rules.

Because the Transformer automatically processes the hour files of the customers and sends them to Mysolution, Charlie works no longer has to manually book or process the hours for these customers. Therefore, this facilitation in time processing immediately speeds up Charlie works’ remuneration. A true improvement for Charlie works, its customers and their temporary workers!

Even after this project, we will continue to improve together. In a next phase we will look at further optimizations, not only for time processing but also for self-billing processes.

Future students for the vocational training path can register via the Aldivèr website for more information. The contact information arrives in HubSpot via the web form. Aldivèr uses OTYS as its back office system. The Connector interface which Solid Online realized between HubSpot and OTYS ensures that from now on, information requests will be sent directly from HubSpot to OTYS. In the past, this information was manually entered into OTYS by Aldivèr to contact potential new students. With the Solid Online Connector, this data is now transferred automatically, whereby additional data such as the desired training and school are also automatically transferred. This allows Aldivèr employees to contact the candidate directly. With the Solid Online Connector, Aldivèr can offer a suitable apprenticeship even faster.

For more than 17 years P-services has been a personnel management specialist. They are a reliable partner in temporary employment, payroll, salary administration, HR advice, and absenteeism management. P-services uses Graydon for checking the creditworthiness of their prospects and customers and Mysolution is their back-office system. Solid Online has set up an interface between Mysolution and Graydon, so that creditworthiness of prospects and customers is automatically updated in Mysolution. This means P-services is saving a lot of time, previously they had to manually check and keep track of the creditworthiness of their customers every year.

Check the creditworthiness of your customers and prospects. Graydon provides you with information and gives you insights through data and reports that make you capable of making better decisions 

Through the Solid Online Connector credit reports are requested from Graydon in three cases: for new relations, when there is a change in the creditworthiness of a company, and one year after the last credit report has been requested. Graydon collects data from different sources and signals changes that are important for P-services. This concerns, among other things, financial calamities, credit limit information, and the Graydon rating. The obtained report is automatically added to the client’s file in Mysolution. 

Previously, P-services had to manually look up the credit report for each customer in the Graydon portal and download this every year. Then the report has to be uploaded in the customer card in Mysolution where the fields had to be filled manually. Now, because of the integration between Graydon and Mysolution the information from Graydon is automatically updated in Mysolution. This solution does not only saves P-services time, but also ensures that credit data is up to date and correct at all times.

Econometrics student Olga joins Solid team as a junior consultant!

We have a new face at the office: Econometrics student Olga started at Solid as a junior consultant! During her studies she learns to analyze data by means of models. This ties in well with our activities and products; connecting and integrating data and optimizing processes. Olga likes working with people the most and wants to investigate whether the role of consultant suits her. As a consultant you are in contact with the customer and user of the software, and if there is a (support) question, there is always a puzzle that needs to be solved. In this job, working with data in the service of the user and contact with people come together nicely.

During her high school years, Olga combined her Gymnasium with high-level Karate. She was part of the Dutch selection and participated in competitions. A tough combination that, in addition to talent, also requires a great deal of effort and time. An achievement, certainly at that age, and indicative of the perseverance of this young student!

For Olga, her work at Solid will ultimately also be the internship as part of her studies. As an internship assignment, Olga has to solve a problem within a company as a consultant. We already have another econometrician in the team, our senior consultant Martine Verhave has already completed this study. We therefore expect that Olga and Martine can help and strengthen each other within the company. With regard to the internship assignment, Olga can turn to many other colleagues in addition to Martine, so that will certainly work out fine!

Olga hopes to gain new insights at Solid and to be able to apply her knowledge. After studying for a number of years and mainly working theoretically, she is ready to get started in practice. Olga has now been in the office for a few days, where she has shown that she is curious and eager to learn. She asks a lot of questions and got to work right away. We are confident that she will fit in well with the Solid team!

Trend People profits from extensive functionalities thanks to the interface between Carerix and Easyflex!

Trend People started to use the front office software of Carerix last year. It was essential that the new front office could be linked to their existing Easyflex back office. The Solid Online Connector was the right solution for this. Solid Online has a partnership with both Carerix and Easyflex, allowing Trend People to be directly linked to the Connector for the interface between Carerix and Easyflex. 

We spoke with Anette Huisman and Sandra Langelaar, both regional managers at Trend People, and asked them how they experienced the innovation. Sandra: “Previously we worked with one system, Easyflex. We used this system both as back office and front office. But we needed more front office functionalities and that’s how we decided for Carerix.” Anette: “It was very important to us to keep Easyflex as a back office for, among other things, the creation of contracts and the remuneration of the flex workers. Because we were used to doing everything in one system, it was essential that all data went to Easyflex without any hassle, so that we didn’t have to retype.”

The Solid Online Connector ensures fast and error-free data transfer between the two systems, so the data in each package is always up-to-date. The Trend People employees do not notice the presence of the intermediate Connector. Anette: “Our employees prepare the data from Carerix to forward them to Easyflex at the push of a button. Very occasionally, a placement does not come through properly, but then we are always assisted immediately by the Solid Online support department.”

How does this interface work?

Data of candidates, clients and contact persons are entered by Trend in Carerix. When a placement is realized, this data is automatically transferred to Easyflex via the Connector. Via this integration, the placement is also created in Easyflex, whereby the wage statement data and wage period data of a flex worker are directly added. Information about the status of the data transfer is sent back to the user in Carerix, so that the employee sees at a glance whether the data has been successfully transferred to Easyflex, when the data was last synchronized or what action is still required to successfully transfer the data to the back office. Data adjusted or enriched in Carerix at a later time are automatically updated in Easyflex within a few minutes.

Bert Kamphuis joins Solid as IT Architect

Our new IT Architect Bert Kamphuis is no stranger to Solid Online. For many years he worked at USG People (now RGF Staffing), one of Solid Online’s largest clients. There he formed a scrum team with Richard Baas and a few other colleagues from Solid Online Netherlands and India for 2 years, that developed the “Flexible E-Chain”. This was the predecessor of the Solid Online Connector and Transformer. 

Bert was interested in creating things from an early age. During high school, he taught himself how to work with computers because he was interested in IT, but Computer Science was not yet a subject in school. He studied Business IT & Management and later did the masterclass Enterprise Architecture via USG. Bert: “I was looking for a study in which IT was the main focus, but which involved more than just programming so that I had a broader career perspective.”

Within USG People, Bert made great career steps. “I started at USG as an information analyst, where you mainly deal with day-to-day issues. Even then I had the urge to look further into the future and to see from a broader perspective. That is how I came into contact with IT architecture and I consciously chose to further develop myself in that direction. This has resulted in new opportunities within USG and now also at Solid Online.” 

Creating value in the most efficient way possible, that is the challenge for Bert within his work. “I like to develop visions and ideas into concepts and plans and then give direction to their realization. It motivates when you turn an idea into a working product, service or process that fulfills a (customer) need.”

As a new colleague, Bert wants to bring a clear view at things, a critical attitude and insight into the coherence of things. “I see that Solid has taken many good steps and achieved great results. In addition, there are also many great new opportunities. One of the challenges is to keep the products robust, future-proof and safe. I think it is very cool to seize those opportunities and tackle those challenges together!”

Pieter-Bas: new consultant Solid Online

We have welcomed another new colleague at Solid Online: Pieter-Bas Piscaer started as a Consultant for Connector projects.

Pieter-Bas is an experienced IT employee; he worked as an implementation consultant for several software companies. “During an implementation it’s interesting to supervise and to train users and to analyze and optimise work processes. Seeing that things run more efficiently after a successful implementation and that there is time left for employees gives me energy.” At Solid Online, his role will primarily be to implement the Connector at relations. His work experience comes in handy here: “I find it interesting to see how processes run and where work can be done smarter or more efficiently.”

During his study Small business & Retail Management he did not know that he would end up in ICT, perhaps his graduation research was a precursor of this? “My graduation research lay in the field of ICT. I did my reasearch for the kitchen department of IKEA Delft (concept store). I examined how their kitchen planner tool could be made more user-friendly for customers so that they could design their own kitchen for 95%.” Anyone who has designed their kitchen at IKEA has indirectly had a little help from Pieter-Bas!

Pieter-Bas has been working at Solid for a few weeks now. He is motivated and familiar with the terminology and flows of the work. To keep the data synchronized between the two systems, Synergie Uitzendbureau uses Solid Online’s Connector.

How does the Connector work at Synergie Uitzendbureau?

When the candidate is placed in OTYS for an assignment, the data of this temporary worker is transferred to Nocore via the Solid Online interface, including notes that have been added in OTYS for notification to the Nocore back office. In addition, active customers and contacts are synchronized between both systems. Changes that are relevant for the front office and the back office application are implemented in OTYS. Solid Online ensures that this data is updated in Nocore within a few minutes. This integration saves a lot of time because retyping data is not necessary. This way the employees of Synergie Uitzendbureau have time to spend on things that really matter!
