Noël Franklin, a Belgian specialist in recruitment and selection, has opted for the Solid Online Connector to exchange data on placements, employers, contacts, and candidates between OTYS and TimeChimp. Virtually all the necessary information for a new assignment is transferred through the integration from OTYS to TimeChimp and vice versa. This way, the Connector has significantly reduced manual work for Noël Franklin.

How does the integration between OTYS and TimeChimp work for Noël Franklin?
From OTYS, data on placements, employers, contacts, and candidates are retrieved using webhooks. The user in OTYS is responsible for providing the data to the integration using two special action buttons added to OTYS. Solid Online offers the option to expand the number of linked subsidiaries. Noël Franklin has 2 subsidiaries, therefore the data is transferred from OTYS to two different TimeChimp environments accordingly. Data on modified placements, contacts, and candidates are retrieved from both TimeChimp environments and transferred to OTYS.

Thanks to the Connector integration, data from OTYS no longer needs to be manually transferred to TimeChimp. Virtually all the necessary information for a new assignment is seamlessly transferred to the correct TimeChimp environment through the integration. Only a few manual (verification) actions are required to finalize the project in TimeChimp. Once completed, everything is ready, and the candidate can start recording hours on the project they are assigned to. The candidate can also make changes in TimeChimp, which are then reflected back to OTYS.

STAN Partners automates hours process with Solid Online Hours Transformer

STAN Partners specializes in labor mediation. STAN is organized in six subsidiary companies, each offering its own range of services. These subsidiary companies include PDZ Uitzendbureau, Teamflex Personeelsdiensten, Louter Recruitment, Loopbaan.NU, STAN Opleidingen, and Flexcellens. STAN is currently using the Solid Online Hours Transformer, enabling their hours process to run automatically to be ready in time for payrolling and invoicing.

The Hours Transformer for STAN Partners allows for importing various types of submitted timesheets and converting them into the FlexService standard. This eliminates the need for manual data entry, reduces errors, and speeds up the hours process. 

An integral part of this process is the automatic splitting of hours into different hour types. Within the Solid Online application, STAN can implement and manage newly to be imported timesheets using existing templates and various modules. Additionally, Solid Online provides real-time insight into the progress of the process through the cockpit.

Solid Online combined the implementation of the Transformer for STAN Partners which contains the one-time setup of customer timesheets with the training of STAN’s own staff. This empowers them to independently configure future customers within the Hours Transformer. 

Since going live, STAN Partners has successfully implemented several customers on their own.

How the integration works

The Solid Online Connector runs between AFAS and Klout7. This is the in-house developed software system of Acture. Absence notes received by Oranjegroep are registered in AFAS. The Connector retrieves the absence notes and translates them into the format that Klout7 needs to process them. Once the temp worker has recovered, recovery notifications from Klout7 follow by email. Acture takes care of the complete handling of the absence process for Oranjegroep. Recovery notifications enter the Connector by e-mail and are processed automatically. The Connector works as a “black-box,” meaning that the employees of Oranjegroep do not see the data flow through the Connector, the necessary data is automatically entered correctly in both systems.

Kees-Jan Koster: Solid consultant in the UK

Kees-Jan Koster is now permanently employed by Solid Online as a consultant. He has been part-time with Solid Online for some time, but has now made the switch to a permanent job. Kees-Jan is one of Solid Online’s Data Migration specialists and his permanent appointment means he can now handle more matters and switch even faster.

Kees-Jan works from the UK. More than 10 years ago he went there for work and his commitment to a charity. At the time he was attached to a training center in Birmingham where he was part of a children’s work team doing theater programs in schools and with churches. He also took care of IT and became location manager. In 2021 he went back to his roots as a developer and started working for the organization Christians Against Poverty that helps people who got into debt. All this time he was part-time associated with Solid Online. So now he has joined us full-time. Kees-Jan is happy that remote working is possible at Solid Online. His children live in the UK and this way he can be there for his family and at the same time dedicate himself to Solid Online.

Stay Connected: Successful Solid Online Event Celebrates Collaborations

On May 16th, the first Stay Connected Solid Online Event took place. From the rooftop bar of our new office in Hoofddorp, customer cases were presented on various topics. Stay Connected was attended by clients, partners, and other interested parties. During the subsequent networking drinks, numerous ideas were exchanged. The right blend of informative and informal elements made the afternoon a success.

The event kicked off with a series of inspiring presentations, focusing on customer cases from the staffing industry. It started with a presentation on Charlie works. Richard Baas and Félicienne Harteveld-Minnaar from Solid Online shared how the Hours Transformer simplifies hour processing for Charlie works.

After a short break, the Metis room hosted the customer case of Logistic Force. Pieter-Bas Piscaer from Solid Online presented alongside Debby Smits and Jeroen Wouters from Logistic Force, discussing the Connector that operates in two forms at Logistic Force: one between AFAS and Acture for absence registration, and the other between AFAS and Clevergig for managing sales relationships, employees, and their competencies.

Simultaneously, in the Hemera room, the customer case of NED Personeel was presented on Direct Assignment, an Advanced Feature on the Connector. Collin Regter and Janno Elst from NED Personeel, together with Richard Baas from Solid Online, delivered the presentation. Richard collaborated with Easyflex to develop this Advanced Feature on the Connector, providing NED Personeel with extensive capabilities for processing assignement data.

Last but not least, David Hill from our partner ABN AMRO presented on Payday. This new app ensures faster payment for freelancers. Solid Online ensures that Payday integrates with the back-office systems of the staffing agencies and that the hours are sent to ABN AMRO as quickly as possible.

The host of the afternoon was our intern, Larissa Boerenstam, who organized this event as her graduation project for her Creative Business studies at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA). Her dedication and creativity contributed to the positive atmosphere of the event.

The event not only provided an informative platform but also an informal setting where clients, partners, Solid employees, and other attendees could engage in conversations. While enjoying snacks and drinks from Farm Kitchen, valuable connections were made, and ideas were exchanged. The pleasant gathering was accompanied by the music of DJ Vaganza.

With the success of Stay Connected in mind, Solid is already looking ahead to the next event scheduled for the upcoming autumn. Xentys: smooth transition to Mysolution with Data Migration by Solid Online

Xentys is a recruitment agency that specializes in consultancy services in technical procurement. They recently switched to their new system, Mysolution. It was of course important to Xentys that all data from their old system would also be available in the right place in Mysolution. Solid Online took care of the Data Migration, so that Xentys could quickly proceed their work in the new system.

Xentys provided an export of the first part of the data to be migrated. In addition, we retrieved a large part of the data, including documents and e-mails, from the API of the old system. The master data was transferred in a weekend (candidates/customers/contact persons/vacancies/placements). In the following week, the e-mails/documents were migrated. Then the remaining data was transferred with a Delta Migration. A Delta Migration has 2 phases, in phase 1 Xentys was able to continue working in the old system after exporting all data. In phase 2, these last changes were also migrated and Xentys could continue in their new system where all data was in the right place. This was the first Data Migration that Solid Online did to Mysolution. A nice milestone for Solid Online on the road to more Data Migrations and interfaces with Mysolution.

Clients, contact persons and candidates are created by Blue Beaver in OTYS. This information is required to create an assignment in OTYS. As soon as the assignment has been created, the information of this assignment is transferred to Exact Online through the Connector. The linked client, contact person, candidate and the agreed rates are also transferred to Exact Online through the Connector. If the transfer has been successful, the unique ID of the assignment in Exact Online is entered in the assignment in OTYS.

In addition to adding the unique ID of the assignment in OTYS, the unique IDs of the client and candidate in OTYS are also transferred to Exact Online. This makes the data easy to find in both systems.

Blue Beaver has chosen for OTYS to be the leading system. This means that changes within existing assignments, clients, contact persons and candidates are implemented in OTYS. The Connector ensures that these changes are visible in Exact Online within approximately one minute.

Last but not least, we have set up a template for Blue Beaver which automatically generates invoices for freelancers. Blue Beaver sends invoices on behalf of freelancers, and now they only have to fill in minimal information, such as the number of worked hours. All other necessary details are automatically filled in on the basis of the project number, such as the details of the freelancer and the client.

This saves Blue Beaver time and ensures that their staff can be paid easily and quickly!

Hortense Verhoeven, our sporty new Junior Consultant

We have a new Junior Consultant, Hortense Verhoeven has come to work at Solid! She is also studying Human Movement Science, she is doing a Master’s Degree at the VU in Amsterdam. We are very happy to welcome her!

Hortense, you are doing your Master in Human Movement Science, what is the subject of your thesis?
I am writing my thesis on gait patterns in women’s football matches. I first did an internship at Ajax Women for a year to collect data from practice. I’m researching what running actions look like. For example, these are often combined with a header or a pass. In my thesis I will map out the results of my research. The ultimate goal is to help players and coaches to train more match-specific.

How did you come to this topic?
I have played gymnastics at a high level. At the time, I already found it useful to improve myself by analyzing videos. During my Bachelor Artificial Intelligence I learned that you can do many things with data. By combining these two you can get even more out of yourself as an athlete. When Ajax Amsterdam asked for a Performance Science intern, my research came about.

For how long have you been doing gymnastics?
I’ve been doing gymnastics since I was five. At the age of 14 I went to the highest recreational level, where you train 12 hours a week. We have won many awards as a team. At the age of 15 I became Dutch Champion, individually. I am still very proud of that. Now I still do gymnastics, but more recreationally.

Do you already have plans for after your studies? I think it would be nice to use my knowledge about Human Movement in gymnastics in the future. Data analysis is not often used there yet to improve results, so I think it would be nice to expand that. But first I really want to be a volunteer during the Olympics. I was supposed to go to Japan in 2020, but that was canceled due to Corona. Now I hope to be present during the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. It is a dream of mine to be able to walk around and work there.

Does your work at Solid match your studies?
For my studies I am working on data analysis and I have also done programming. At Solid I learn to look at data critically and accurately and learn about the processes around data. Working in IT is fun and interesting, it’s something I like to do!

This data flow from Timing to Kramp is now completely automatic. As a result, the manual creation and/or modification of this data for Kramps large group of temporary workers has been dispensed with. This saves Kramp time and prevents errors or differences in the data within the 2 systems.

RGF Staffing has chosen for the Enterprise Connector. This means that once an interface for RGF has been established, it can be set-up over and over again. With the Enterprise Connector, the team at RGF Staffing can now implement Connectors themselves.

The first interface has already been realized between Opleiding.nl and AFAS, for the transfer of employee data. RGF Staffing offers training courses for their employees through Opleiding.nl and AFAS is their back office. Employee data is automatically transferred from AFAS to Opleiding.nl by the Connector interface. Now RGF Staffing no longer needs to manually update this information in Opleiding.nl. If there is a change in an employee at RGF Staffing, this change will automatically be implemented in Opleiding.nl. This reduces the number of manual actions, it prevents errors and delays in updating, and avoids differences between the data in both systems.

Opleiding.nl has been added to the ecosystem of the Solid Online Connector especially for RGF Staffing. All systems linked to the Connector are also immediately available to other companies. View all systems linked to the Connector here.

In addition to the recent Enterprise Connector, RGF Staffing has been using Solid Online’s Hours Transformer and Invoices Transformer for years. For RGF Staffing, the Hours Transformer processes 1.073255 hours per month, and the Invoices Transformer processes 9936 invoices per month.
